Mimecast is the leading supplier of cloud-based email archiving, security and continuity. Founded in the United Kingdom in 2003, Mimecast serves more than 6,000 customers worldwide.
According to a recent email compliance study, Inbox on Trial, eDiscovery for email is a major area of concern and many businesses are not confident that they would be able to identify all emails relating to an eDiscovery case in a timely manner. On average, it would take a business 15 working days to identify all emails relating to a potential litigation and eighteen percent of businesses do not think they would be able to comply with this kind of email eDiscovery request within a month.
Mimecast offers an email archive which provides strong chains-of-custody which reduces the pain and cost often dedicated to sourcing archived email data. Mimecast can retain terabytes of data without performance degradation which means that customers are abstracted from considerations surrounding storage hardware, supporting multiple sites, backups and maintenance.
Mimecast currently supplies its email management service to 75% of the top 100 UK law firms. The service requires no on-site hardware or software and can be deployed at a fraction of the cost of software or hardware based alternatives.
In the past year Mimecast has been recognised for various awards including Microsoft’s 2012 Innovative Customer Advocacy Partner of the Year Award.
