Simon van Zijll is an attorney-at-law (advocaat) registered with the Rotterdam bar in the Netherlands. He is a partner at Yuen Law Firm, a boutique firm focusing on international business and investment, with a strong China practice.

Simon specialises in matters concerning international contract law, company law and litigation & arbitration. He has a special interest in investment law and investment arbitration.

Simon studied law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He wrote his master’s thesis at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek on jurisdiction issues in ICSID arbitration. He has worked in several law firms, in the Netherlands as well as in China. Before joining Yuen Law Firm as a partner, Simon worked at NautaDutilh, where he was involved in mergers & acquisitions, energy law, international arbitration and commercial litigation.
